Commercial Counsel (Licensed Attorney)

Job Summary

To support a growing legal team, the remote Commercial Counsel (Licensed Attorney) will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, manage a steady volume of deals independently, and collaborate closely with various business units to facilitate commercial growth while managing risk.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements including NDAs, MSAs, and vendor agreements
• Manage deal flow independently, escalating matters to senior counsels as necessary
• Serve as a legal partner to the organization, balancing legal risks with business objectives

Required qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one US state bar
• 3+ years of combined law firm and in-house experience supporting commercial transactions
• 2+ years of in-house experience at a B2B technology company
• Demonstrated ability to run commercial negotiations independently and close on schedule
• Sound legal judgment paired with practical business sense
