Job Summary
Serving as a primary regulatory advisor, the remote Business Risk Program Director (Commercial Credit Advisor) will identify, assess, and mitigate Commercial Finance risks while collaborating with underwriting, portfolio, and credit administration teams to ensure compliance with regulations and sound risk management practices.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations as the primary Commercial Finance regulatory advisor
- Monitor the bank's overall credit risk profile in relation to Board approved Risk Appetite
- Develop and provide training on credit-related topics to first line of defense staff
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- 12+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, lending, loan review, or risk management roles, preferably in banking or financial services
- Strong understanding of commercial credit, including alternative energy, working capital, and asset-based lending
- In-depth knowledge of credit program design, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices
- Proactive mindset with strong analytical skills to assess regulatory impacts on credit products
