Commercial Legal Specialist
Job Summary
Providing timely and solution-driven legal services, the full-time Legal Specialist (Commercial) will protect the organization against legal, financial, and reputational risks while working remotely and collaborating with project offices and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Advise project offices on commercial matters, including legal agreements and funding agreements
- Represent the organization in negotiations with external parties on legal topics
- Support the development and implementation of policies to improve business efficiency and legal frameworks
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law with 7 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in commercial law, including legal analysis, advice, and drafting
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages such as French, Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, or Russian is desirable
- Experience communicating complex legal concepts to diverse audiences
- Relevant experience in multicultural environments or UN system organizations is preferred
