Commercial Real Estate Underwriting Manager

Job Summary

Managing a team of associates in commercial credit underwriting, the remote Manager Regional Commercial Real Estate Underwriting will oversee processes, performance, and talent development while ensuring compliance and quality in underwriting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team responsible for underwriting, structuring, and servicing commercial credit actions, setting expectations to meet departmental goals
• Continuously evaluate and adjust talent management strategies to optimize team performance and resource utilization
• Ensure compliance with department procedures and quality standards, monitoring performance metrics and implementing improvements as necessary

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis, or a High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of relevant experience
• Advanced skillset in commercial credit underwriting, including complex credit structures
• Experience in managing teams and developing talent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with credit exposure of $5 million and above is preferred
