Job Summary
Evaluating and pricing insurance risks, the full-time Commercial Transportation Underwriter will analyze applications and financial documents, negotiate terms with brokers, and collaborate with internal teams while working remotely from California, Nevada, Utah, or Arizona.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze risk factors to determine appropriate pricing and coverage within delegated authority
- Review applications and relevant documents to assess exposure and apply underwriting guidelines
- Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers or clients to secure profitable business
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2+ years of underwriting or relevant insurance experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of underwriting principles and practices
- Experience in a collaborative, broker-focused service environment
- Progress toward professional designations such as CPCU or AU is preferred
