Job Summary
Managing Acacia's digital content calendar, the full-time Communications Associate will create and oversee digital content, engage with the community, and support the Communications department through administrative tasks while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate Acacia's digital content calendar across social media platforms
- Create and draft engaging digital content, including blogs and social media posts, ensuring timely reviews and adherence to guidelines
- Support the development of long-term narrative and storytelling initiatives by documenting events and creating a digital asset library
Required qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in communications or related field, or 2-3 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in digital tools such as WordPress, Canva, and social media platforms
- Experience with Adobe Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Knowledge of the US immigration system and current socio-political context
- Demonstrated commitment to human rights and eagerness to learn about non-profit communications
