Job Summary
Supporting a strategic communications program, the full-time Communications Associate will assist in promoting advocacy priorities, enhancing brand visibility, and raising funds in a hybrid remote/in-office environment based in Washington, DC.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with daily projects, events, and operations under the Director of Communications
- Implement cross-channel communications strategies and public relations tactics in collaboration with the Senior Communications Manager
- Maintain and improve MAZON's online presence, including website and social media, while monitoring media coverage related to anti-hunger issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience
- 1-2 years of experience in a nonprofit or public affairs organization, ideally in a communications role
- Familiarity with WordPress, Canva, Google Analytics, and social media management
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a keen eye for design
- Commitment to MAZON's mission to end hunger
