Community Coordinator

Job Summary

To support public health initiatives in the Inland Empire, the part-time hourly Community Coordinator will serve as a key liaison with Native American partners, focusing on building collaborative relationships, gathering community feedback on traffic safety issues, and assisting in the development of culturally sensitive programs.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders and organizations to understand and address public health needs
• Gather and analyze feedback from the Native American community regarding traffic safety concerns and assist in developing relevant programs
• Support the scheduling and organization of meetings and focus groups, ensuring culturally appropriate engagement and dialogue

Required qualifications

• Four years of related experience, education, or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Knowledge of the cultural heritages of Native American tribes in the Inland Empire
• Basic program and project management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations
• Skills to learn organization-specific computer applications and analyze research information
