Community Engineer
Job Summary
Driving the technical evolution of the Brilliant Black Minds community, the full-time remote Community Engineer will build AI-powered tools and automations while managing community operations for over 11,000 diverse software engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead projects from design through release, ensuring high-quality and reliable code
- Build and maintain scalable services and integrate AI-enhanced capabilities into technical interview preparation
- Manage community operations, including moderating Discord and engaging with members across experience levels
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience designing and shipping web applications or distributed systems
- Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks, preferably Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Ruby
- Experience with system architecture, database design, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with LLM APIs or AI-enhanced product features
- Active involvement in the technical community as a mentor, advisor, or contributor
