Community Manager

Job Summary

Experienced in community management, the full-time remote Community Manager will oversee Kickstarter's online presence, engage with community members across various platforms, and manage brand reputation by monitoring sentiment and addressing emerging issues.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor brand mentions and sentiment across social media, forums, and other platforms, responding to potential reputational risks
• Engage with community members on Reddit and Discord, correcting misinformation and supporting creators and backers
• Develop and manage community feedback programs to translate insights into actionable recommendations for product and marketing teams

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in community management, social media, or reputation management, preferably in a tech or marketplace environment
• Deep familiarity with Reddit and Discord, demonstrating active participation and understanding of community norms
• Hands-on experience with major social platforms and sentiment management on review sites
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations
• Excellent writing skills, capable of adapting tone and style to different platforms and contexts
