Compliance Manager
Job Summary
Taking full ownership of the compliance program, the full-time remote Compliance Manager will enhance existing policies, oversee regulatory requirements, and manage carrier relationships while collaborating closely with Finance and Accounting.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and mature the compliance program across multiple entities, ensuring policies, training, and audits are effectively implemented
- Manage state regulatory and licensing compliance, ensuring all licenses are current and audit-ready
- Support legal reviews of the digital platform, focusing on privacy compliance and data handling practices
Required qualifications
- 6-8 years of compliance experience in the insurance industry, preferably in insurtech or wholesale brokerage
- Strong understanding of accounting principles related to insurance distribution and premium trust accounting
- Hands-on experience with surplus lines premium tax and multi-state filings
- Proven experience in operating or maturing a compliance program
- Familiarity with technology in insurance operations, including software and data management
