Job Summary
To support federal biomedical research programs, the part-time Computational Biologist (AI/ML) will design and implement AI/ML models applied to biomedical data while working remotely and contributing to team discussions on methodology and technical decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Own and execute well-defined analytical and technical tasks with minimal supervision
- Design and implement AI/ML models for genomic and clinical datasets to support precision oncology
- Generate high-quality reports that translate complex AI/ML outputs into actionable insights
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, data science, or a related field
- 2 to 5 years of relevant professional or research experience
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Strong background in machine learning and AI applied to biomedical datasets
- Demonstrated success in applying AI/ML to scientific or clinical data problems
