Job Summary
Providing comprehensive clinical scheduling and high-level administrative support, the full-time Connecticut Licensed Clinical Scheduler will manage incoming calls, assess scheduling requests, and ensure prompt service to patients and providers while working remotely from Connecticut.
Key responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls, assess urgency, and direct callers as needed while providing specialized information about policies and services
- Build and modify provider master schedules, manage patient appointments, and coordinate surgical procedures and diagnostic tests
- Maintain accurate patient records, initiate billing processes, and oversee interdepartmental communication
Required qualifications
- Four years of related work experience, including two years in a similar role, or an Associate degree with two years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience with surgical scheduling and handling high call volumes in a call center environment
- Proficiency in EPIC or similar EMR systems for scheduling and patient information management
- Effective listening skills and professional telephone etiquette
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgment in managing patient interactions
