Connecticut Licensed Compliance Educator

Job Summary

Managing compliance education initiatives, the full-time Connecticut Licensed Compliance Educator will develop training related to auditing risks and coding requirements, while working remotely to enhance provider awareness of medical documentation guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Develops and implements compliance education programs for Yale Medicine providers
• Coordinates training sessions for new policies and practices across assigned departments
• Assesses risk and contributes to the development of an auditing plan in alignment with compliance objectives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience
• Connecticut licensure as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
• Thorough understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and coding (CPT and ICD-9/ICD-10)
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare management and Medicare billing guidelines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with EPIC and ComplyTrack software preferred
