Construction Controller

Job Summary

To support a growing construction firm, the fully remote Construction Controller will manage all financial operations, including WIP reporting, AP and subcontractor payments, and change orders while overseeing the accounting staff and ensuring compliance with multi-state payroll regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all construction financial operations, including WIP reporting and subcontractor payment volume
• Manage the accounting staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high performance
• Handle multi-state payroll and compliance, ensuring operations align with relevant laws and regulations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controller in the commercial construction industry
• Proven experience with WIP reporting, AP and subcontractor payment volume, and change orders
• Strong managerial skills with a track record of effectively managing an accounting team
• Expert Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and present complex financial data
