Consumer Health Writer/Editor

Job Summary

To support the NIH Office of AIDS Research, the full-time remote Consumer Health Writer/Editor will oversee the production of technical documents, manage timelines and budgets, and mentor team members while ensuring high-quality content and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the production and quality of technical reports, manuals, and other documents, ensuring they meet project scope and requirements
• Lead the planning and execution of major documentation sets, assigning tasks and monitoring schedules and budgets
• Establish and enforce editorial standards, conduct final reviews, and implement corrective actions for content issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 6+ years of relevant experience, including 2 years in medical or consumer health writing and copy-editing
• Ability to produce complex technical writing related to medical or consumer health
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
• Must reside in a U.S. location where the company is authorized to employ staff
