Consumer Loan Underwriter
Job Summary
Evaluating loan applications for quality and accuracy, the full-time Consumer Loan Underwriter I will make loan decisions remotely while supporting contact center representatives and ensuring compliance with client institution guidelines.
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate and decision loan applications based on credit history and institutional guidelines
- Monitor the quality and efficiency of loan applications processed by contact center representatives
- Provide support and training for contact center representatives regarding lending questions and new technology
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred
- 1 year of experience as a Lending Underwriter required
- 1 year of experience in a loan contact center position preferred
- Knowledge of lending underwriting best practices and loan application processing
- Familiarity with multiple loan origination systems and credit bureau information interpretation
