Job Summary
Providing exceptional customer service, the full-time remote Contact Center Specialist will manage incoming calls related to patient medical bills, insurance inquiries, and payment arrangements while utilizing various internal systems to address billing needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and troubleshoot billing inquiries while explaining benefits coverages and timeframes
- Document and close issues accurately, ensuring proper record-keeping
- Collaborate with internal departments to research insurance denials and payment issues
Required qualifications:
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- One year of customer service experience in a high-volume environment, preferably in a healthcare call center
- Knowledge of Explanation of Benefits, various insurance plans, ICD-10, and CPT codes
- Strong skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex documents and communicate effectively with diverse personalities
