Continuous Improvement Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the Ryder Continuous Improvement culture in a full-time remote capacity, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will apply data-driven methods to enhance operations, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost through process improvement initiatives and engineering methodologies.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data to identify process gaps and implement continuous improvement plans
- Manage CI and steady-state engineering projects to drive improved business results and support automation initiatives
- Facilitate Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events, ensuring effective execution and follow-up on results
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline
- 3+ years of experience in the Transportation or Supply Chain Industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Basic knowledge of Lean tools and processes
- Understanding of core engineering and data analysis functions related to transportation operations
