Contract Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the acquisition lifecycle remotely, the full-time Contract Specialist will manage market research, solicitations, and contract modifications while assisting the IMLS Contracting Officer and ensuring compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

Key responsibilities

• Provide acquisition support to the IMLS Contracting Officer and OCFO team members across the full acquisition lifecycle
• Conduct market research and prepare solicitations, including large acquisition planning and solicitation development
• Prepare and issue task, delivery, purchase, and call orders, including modifications and acquisitions under the FAR

Required qualifications

• Experience as a Contract Specialist (1102 equivalent) with knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
• Demonstrated ability to conduct market research and prepare solicitations
• Proficiency in preparing and issuing various types of orders, including task and delivery orders
• Experience with contract modifications and audit-ready contract files
• Ability to work full-time remotely, adhering to a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM EST
