Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Contract Specialist will provide acquisition support services to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, focusing on contract actions, market research, and coordination with program office personnel.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide advice and recommendations for acquisition plans, including strategies, risks, and contracting methods
- Conduct market research to identify potential sources and contract vehicles, including socio-economic program participants
- Support the creation of solicitations, contract documents, and negotiations while ensuring compliance with Federal regulations
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, or management
- 8 to 10 years of experience in contracting for Federal clients
- Demonstrated expertise in contract actions, including solicitations, awards, and modifications
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and procurement processes
- Proficiency with contracting writing systems and Microsoft Office Suite
