Job Summary
Working remotely on a project-based contract, the Contract Systems Architect will assess product requirements, design AWS architectures, and evaluate AI models to deliver scalable and secure systems for an AI-focused consumer technology startup.
Key responsibilities
- Assess product requirements and existing architecture to identify risks and priorities
- Design AWS architectures for consumer applications, including APIs, databases, and asynchronous processing
- Evaluate AI models and establish production controls for AI workflows to enhance product capabilities
Required qualifications
- Strong track record as a Systems Architect or technical leader in production software
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS and architectural tradeoffs
- Experience shipping consumer applications with a focus on growth and infrastructure costs
- Production experience integrating AI workflows and large language models
- Strong backend engineering skills in Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or similar languages
