Controller
Job Summary
Leading the financial operations of a remote FinTech company, the full-time Controller will manage accounting, financial reporting, and compliance while leveraging AI to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all operational and reporting accounting, maintaining the general ledger and company records
- Own the monthly close process, including account reconciliations and adherence to the close calendar
- Manage invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, ensuring timely processing and control over aged payables
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, with 3+ years as a Controller or equivalent experience
- Significant experience in high-transaction-volume, recurring-revenue environments, preferably in SaaS or fintech
- Proven ability to run efficient close processes and implement automation in accounting systems
- Hands-on experience with AI tools in finance or a demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new technologies
- Strong skills in QuickBooks and Excel; familiarity with Salesforce and similar tools is a plus
