Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Controller to manage the accounting function in a full-time capacity, either remotely or from the New York office, overseeing monthly close processes, financial consolidations, and internal controls while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and ensure compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and US GAAP consolidation across six entities, ensuring a reliable close within 10 working days
• Lead technical accounting analysis and manage statutory audits, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting
• Develop and improve internal controls and accounting processes, focusing on automation and efficiency across financial systems

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in a complex, multi-entity business or public accounting
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606 and principal versus agent judgments
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency close and consolidation, including intercompany and FX
• Proven leadership skills with experience in developing high-performing teams and managing performance
• Hands-on ERP experience, preferably with NetSuite, and a track record of process improvement through automation
