Controller
Job Summary
Hands-on and detail-oriented, the full-time Controller will manage the accounting function, including monthly close, US GAAP financials, and audits, while working remotely or from the Boston office.
Key responsibilities
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and US GAAP consolidation across six entities, ensuring a reliable close within 10 working days
- Lead technical accounting analysis and ensure compliance with revenue recognition and other accounting standards
- Develop and manage the international accounting team, setting performance expectations and driving process improvements
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a complex, multi-entity business
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606 and principal versus agent judgements
- Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency close and leading external audits
- Proven leadership skills with experience in developing high-performing teams
- Hands-on ERP experience, ideally with NetSuite, focused on process automation and improvement
