Job Summary
To support the mission of providing top faith-formation resources, the full-time remote Controller will manage the accuracy and integrity of accounting records, oversee the monthly close processes, and prepare financial statements while collaborating with the finance team.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the monthly and annual accounting close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Maintain the general ledger's accuracy and integrity, ensuring proper account balances and classifications
- Support banking operations and internal controls, resolving discrepancies and ensuring compliance with accounting policies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant responsibility for general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements and applying GAAP
- CPA designation preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred
