Job Summary
To build a robust accounting function from the ground up, the full-time Controller will oversee the monthly close process, establish accounting policies and internal controls, and prepare the company for its first audit while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Run the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Design and document accounting policies and workflows, establishing a strong accounting foundation
- Manage the order-to-cash cycle, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of usage-based billing
Required qualifications
- 8 to 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably with Big 4 or national firm exposure
- Deep expertise in US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Experience with ERP systems and a background in systems selection or implementation
- Builder mindset, with a passion for creating and improving accounting processes
- Experience integrating AI tools into finance workflows
