Job Summary
To support a rapidly growing apparel brand, the full-time Controller will manage financial operations, including accounting, compliance, and reporting, while collaborating with various leadership teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and overseeing journal entries and reconciliations
- Design and implement internal controls and prepare for audits, ensuring the organization is audit-ready at all times
- Own the month-end close process, establishing timelines and ensuring the accurate preparation of financial statements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
- 6-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3-4 years in audit or public accounting
- Proven experience leading month-end close and strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls
- Experience in inventory and/or DTC, eCommerce, or retail environments preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems in high-volume transaction environments
