Job Summary
To lead the financial operations of a growing digital financial services company, the full-time Controller with CPA License will manage the external audit process, oversee monthly and annual financial closes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own the external financial statement audit process and maintain auditor relationships
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, producing GAAP financial statements and ensuring accurate revenue recognition
- Design and implement accounting controls, focusing on automation and efficiency in financial operations
Required qualifications
- Experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accounting Manager in a venture-backed company
- Proven track record of managing a company through its first external audit
- Hands-on experience with ASC 606 and month-end close processes across multiple legal entities
- Active CPA license
- Experience in developing accounting processes and leading a small team or direct report
