Corporate Counsel (Active Bar License)

Job Summary

Supporting a high-volume legal practice, the full-time Corporate Counsel (Active Bar License) will manage day-to-day legal inquiries, draft and negotiate agreements, and oversee compliance across marketing and sales while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Drafts, reviews, and negotiates various agreements, including vendor contracts and partnership agreements
• Manages a diverse docket of legal matters, prioritizing tasks effectively without dropping any issues
• Directs paralegal and legal operations staff, ensuring efficient intake processes and timely responses to legal requests

Required qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership in good standing
• 3+ years of relevant experience, particularly in-house at a high-growth company
• Hands-on experience with FTC Act Section 5 and advertising compliance, with knowledge of GDPR and CCPA preferred
• Experience in improving legal operations, including contract lifecycle management and intake workflows
• Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly to non-lawyers and build trust across teams
