Corporate Counsel, Federal Compliance
Job Summary
Providing frontline legal counseling, the full-time Corporate Counsel, Federal Compliance will support Okta's Public Sector teams by navigating U.S. regulatory frameworks and ensuring compliance for regulated products and services, working in a remote-friendly environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end legal support for Okta's Public Sector teams, focusing on Regulated Products and Services
- Act as the subject matter expert on emerging cloud service policies, educating internal teams on shifting regulations
- Partner with cross-functional teams to navigate compliance frameworks and authorizations processes from conception to launch
Required qualifications
- 5-7+ years of legal practice, with at least 2+ years of experience in U.S. Federal Government compliance for cloud/SaaS providers
- Experience with classified product delivery or FedRAMP High and DoD IL5/6 authorizations
- J.D. from a highly-regarded institution and active Bar admission; an undergraduate degree in a technical field is a plus
- Proven track record supporting IT products and SaaS business models
- U.S. Citizenship and must hold a Top Secret security clearance
