Corporate Counsel, P&C Insurance
Job Summary
Supporting the evolving insurance businesses, the full-time Corporate Counsel, P&C Insurance will draft and negotiate various commercial contracts, advise on regulatory matters, and provide business-focused legal guidance in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate carrier agreements, client service agreements, and other commercial contracts
- Advise business teams on P&C insurance operations, regulatory matters, and risk management
- Monitor P&C insurance regulatory developments and assist the business in adapting to changes
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 5+ years of legal experience in the property and casualty insurance industry
- Experience with insurance carriers, MGAs/MGUs, or insurance-focused law practices
- Proficiency in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
- Strong understanding of P&C insurance operations and associated legal risks
