Corporate Counsel - State Licensed
Job Summary
Providing legal support in a remote capacity, the full-time Corporate Counsel - State Licensed will manage healthcare technology, cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance matters, including drafting and negotiating contracts and ensuring adherence to healthcare laws and regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to healthcare technology and cybersecurity
- Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and HITECH
- Provide legal-risk assessments and guidance to business and technical stakeholders based on complex technical findings
Required qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a corporate or transactional attorney in a law firm or in-house setting
- Active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar and a Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school
- Demonstrated experience with cybersecurity incidents and related legal risks
- Strong knowledge of healthcare law, technology law, and data privacy regulations
- Proven ability to draft and negotiate various healthcare technology-related contracts
