Cost and Pricing Consultant

Job Summary

Providing on-call advisory services, the part-time Consultant - Cost & Pricing will support budget development, review proposal budgets for accuracy, and enhance staff capacity in cost estimation while working remotely on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Offer first-line responses to cost and pricing queries and escalate sensitive issues to the C&P team
• Conduct technical reviews of proposal budgets and budget narratives, providing written feedback on compliance with donor cost principles
• Deliver training and support to strengthen the capacity of global staff in budget development and cost estimation

Required qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in developing proposal budgets for various government and non-government funders in international development
• Experience with budgeting for different grant and contract types, including cost reimbursable and firm-fixed price
• Professional proficiency in the MS Office suite, with strong MS Excel skills including advanced functions
• Flexibility to manage a variable workload and adjust priorities as necessary
