Cost Estimator
Job Summary
Supporting a federal program management office, the mid to senior-level Cost Estimator will work remotely to develop life cycle cost estimates and conduct analyses for communications, sensor, and surveillance systems to aid investment decisions and provide cost information to stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and update life cycle cost estimates (LCCEs) and independent government cost estimates (IGCEs) for programs and projects
- Conduct sensitivity and uncertainty analyses to inform decision-making
- Present results of estimates through various formats, including verbal presentations and narrative reports
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, management, finance, math, engineering, or a related discipline
- Relevant cost estimating certifications with ICEAA or AACE are desired
- 3-10 years of experience in cost estimating
- Previous work with CBP or DHS is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ACEIT and Crystal Ball software is a plus
