COTS System Engineer
Job Summary
To ensure the reliability and performance of critical IT systems, the full-time remote COTS System Engineer will manage the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise business applications across on-premises, virtualized, and cloud environments.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of enterprise business applications across Windows and RHEL environments
- Plan and execute operating system, database, and application upgrades in collaboration with IT teams
- Troubleshoot complex application issues and implement corrective actions based on root cause analyses
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of IT experience supporting enterprise systems
- In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting and configuring Windows operating systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of Linux OS, databases, networks, and system integration
- Ability to independently research issues and develop technical solutions
