CPA Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Owning the client relationship and full accounting delivery for an assigned portfolio of consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies, the remote CPA Accounting Manager will oversee the monthly close cycle, prepare financial statements, and ensure accurate accounting practices tailored to the unique challenges of CPG brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for CPG clients, managing relationships from onboarding through ongoing monthly delivery
• Oversee the full monthly close cycle, reviewing and approving work from Associates and Senior Associates before final delivery
• Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements and management-level commentary, proactively identifying trends and insights for clients

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred
• 4-7 years of accounting experience with direct ownership of month-end close, preferably in public accounting or outsourced accounting
• Hands-on experience with CPG accounting, including trade promotion accounting and inventory valuation
• Familiarity with CPG brands selling through various channels, including retail and DTC
• Strong working command of GAAP with experience applying it in startup or growth-stage CPG contexts
