CPA Assistant Controller

Job Summary

To support a growing controllership function, the remote Assistant Controller will manage funding and special-purpose-vehicle (SPV) accounting, lead the operationalization of securitizations, and ensure accurate financial reporting while collaborating with various finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting for funding structures and SPV legal entities, including design and recurring close processes
• Lead accounting workstreams for new securitizations and funding transactions, ensuring operational readiness and timely reporting
• Design and operate effective controls for funding and SPV accounting processes, supporting audit requirements and process improvements

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive Accounting or Finance experience, including controllership and financial reporting
• CPA or CA qualified, with strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience in structured finance or similar fields
• Demonstrated experience in designing and operating internal controls, including SOX environments
• Proven ability to translate complex transactions into accounting processes and reporting
• Strong analytical skills with intermediate-to-advanced Excel proficiency
