CPA Controller
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on CPA Controller to manage the accounting function in a full-time remote role, responsible for leading monthly closes, annual audits, and technical accounting documentation, while collaborating with senior leadership on financial reporting and strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical accounting file, drafting ASC 606 revenue recognition memos and maintaining accounting policy papers
- Lead the full accounting cycle, including GL, AP, AR, and financial statement preparation for Board and investor reporting
- Serve as the primary liaison for audits and compliance, coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors
Required Qualifications
- Active CPA license
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting from a top-tier university
- 3+ years of audit experience at a Big 4 or national public accounting firm
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller or equivalent role
- Demonstrated experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition and U.S. GAAP compliance
