CPA Controller

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the CFO, the remote CPA Controller will lead the Accounting team in overseeing financial operations, including monthly and quarterly close processes, compliance with GAAP, and audit management while fostering a high-performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations, including payroll, billing, AR/AP, general ledger, and revenue recognition
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and manage risk through adherence to tax regulations and industry standards
• Drive the annual financial audit process and collaborate with tax advisors for timely federal and state tax filings

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 8+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• Deep understanding of US GAAP and experience in automating accounting processes
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks and Maxio) and Microsoft Excel
