CPA Controller
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Controller to manage the month-end close, oversee financial operations, and prepare for the company's first annual audit in a hybrid remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own the month-end close process, including reconciliations and review controls
- Manage the transition from a third-party accounting firm to an in-house accounting function
- Prepare financial statements and manage revenue recognition for various contract types
Required qualifications
- CPA (or CPA-eligible) with a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including ownership of a close at a venture-backed company
- Experience in a high-growth startup or technology company, ideally with Big 4 audit background
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Experience preparing for or supporting an audit, preferably a first audit
