CPA Controller

Job Summary

Leading the financial operations of a growing technology company, the full-time CPA Controller will manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, oversee financial reporting, and ensure compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including US GAAP financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
• Lead ASC 606 reviews and document performance obligations while reconciling billing and contract assets to the ledger
• Oversee payables, receivables, expense management, and payroll accounting, while improving internal controls and accounting systems

Required qualifications

• Direct ownership of financial reporting in a software or technology business with strong US GAAP knowledge
• Experience managing financial statement audits and developing clear accounting documentation and processes
• Proven ability to improve reconciliations, internal controls, and data quality in an accounting environment
• Accounting education or equivalent professional experience, with a focus on reliable results
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite ERP, and other accounting-related applications
