CPA Controller

Job Summary

Taking full ownership of day-to-day accounting operations, the full-time remote Controller will manage the internal accounting team, oversee external audits and tax compliance, and build scalable financial systems to support organizational growth in a complex multi-entity healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, delivering GAAP-compliant consolidated financials
• Oversee intercompany accounting, cash transfers, and ensure compliance with Management Services Agreements (MSAs)
• Drive the annual external audit and coordinate multi-state tax compliance while managing corporate governance and risk

Required qualifications

• Active CPA required; Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or Finance with 7+ years of progressive experience
• 5+ years of leadership experience in building and mentoring accounting teams
• Mastery of US GAAP, multi-entity consolidations, intercompany accounting, and ASC 606 revenue recognition
• Hands-on experience with financial systems such as NetSuite, Bill.com, and Carta
• Ability to operate effectively in a remote, fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills
