CPA Corporate Controller

Job Summary

Seeking a Corporate Controller, the full-time position will oversee high-quality accounting practices, compliance, and cash management strategies, with opportunities for growth in financial strategy skills, based in Boston or NYC and reporting directly to the CEO.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and payroll activities, including the month-end close process
• Develop, monitor, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulations
• Support the timely preparation of internal and external financial statements and produce KPI reporting with insights for variance analysis

Required qualifications

• CPA certification
• 3+ years of experience in public accounting
• 7+ years of experience in Finance, preferably in a startup environment
• A degree in finance, statistics, economics, business, or related fields
• Outstanding Excel skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets
