CPA Director of Accounting

Job Summary

To support a growing multi-state organization, the remote Director of Accounting will manage accounting operations, regulatory reporting, and internal controls while leading a high-performing team and enhancing financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial accounting operations and establish financial accounting policies and processes
• Lead financial reporting activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to senior leaders and regulatory bodies
• Design, develop, and manage a large organization of accountants, fostering positive relationships across departments

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
• 4+ years of leadership experience managing teams
• 10+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience, preferably in large corporations
• Experience with financial systems, specifically Workday Financials
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and risk management strategies
