CPA Financial Controller

Job Summary

To support a growing technology company, the full-time salaried CPA Financial Controller will manage the core accounting functions, establish strong financial controls, and deliver reliable financial reporting while working remotely from Michigan.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll coordination, and monthly and yearly financial close
• Establish scalable accounting policies and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance
• Produce accurate financial reports and analyses to provide visibility into business performance and support commercial decision-making

Required qualifications

• 8-12 years of progressive accounting experience, including roles as Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accounting Manager
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606
• Proven ability to manage cash, reconciliations, and working capital effectively
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis
• Hands-on experience with accounting/ERP systems and process automation
