CPA Financial Controller

Job Summary

To support financial operations in a fully remote environment, the full-time salaried CPA Financial Controller will manage the company's accounting, financial reporting, tax, and audit processes while supervising the accounting team and collaborating with executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP and technical accounting, providing guidance to finance and business leaders
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, including journal entries and GAAP-compliant financial statements
• Lead audit readiness efforts for the company's first financial statement audit and manage federal and state income tax provisions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution (required)
• Active CPA license (required)
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial close and external financial reporting
• Substantial tax experience, including federal and state income tax provision under ASC 740
• Extensive audit experience, ideally with a public accounting background at a Big 4 or national firm
