CPA Financial Due Diligence Consultant

Job Summary

To support post-merger financial integration, the contracted Financial Due Diligence Consultant will analyze target earnings, cash flow, and debt accuracy while developing quality-of-earnings reports and financial forecasts in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build quality-of-earnings analyses, normalizing EBITDA and quantifying add-backs and one-time items
• Examine historical earnings and cash conversion trends, proposing working capital pegs and identifying off-balance-sheet obligations
• Verify financial reporting accuracy and stress-test management projections with scenario analysis

Required qualifications

• 7+ years in transaction services, audit, or corporate finance; 3+ years in buy-side or sell-side diligence
• CPA or CA strongly preferred; CFA or MBA is a plus
• Expertise in Excel and financial modeling, with experience in data rooms and analytics tools
• Knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS experience is a plus for cross-border deals
• Background in industrial, manufacturing, or private equity portfolio companies preferred
