CPA Investment Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Managing the day-to-day operations of the investment accounting team, the remote Assistant Vice President, Investment Accounting Manager will oversee month-end and quarter-end close processes, perform detailed investment analysis, and support financial reporting under multiple accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Onboard new investment portfolios and build out associated financial reporting processes and controls
• Manage the compilation of quarterly and yearly financial reports, including footnotes and statutory investment exhibits
• Facilitate external audits and maintain internal control environments supporting investment accounting

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA or equivalent certification
• Minimum of 7 years accounting experience, including 3+ years in investment accounting within insurance/reinsurance
• Experience managing and developing a team of investment accounting professionals
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in U.S. GAAP and STAT investment accounting principles
• Familiarity with Clearwater investment accounting platform is highly desired
