CPA Licensed Accounting Lead

Job Summary

Leading the accounting and reporting activities for the company's alternative investment portfolio, the full-time Private Equity and Alternative Asset Accounting Lead will oversee key processes under GAAP and Statutory accounting frameworks while managing two direct reports and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the accounting and reporting processes for alternative investments, including private equity and limited partnerships
• Review and analyze complex investment transactions to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and prepare financial statement disclosures
• Coach and mentor direct reports while identifying and leading process improvements in investment accounting operations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and/or financial reporting experience focused on investments
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Statutory accounting principles applicable to investment portfolios
• Experience in accounting for and reporting on alternative asset classes, including private equity and hedge funds
• CPA designation preferred
